Manresa Tourism presents the products linked to the Ignatian Trail to the Catalan Tourist Promotion Centres abroad, managed by the Catalan Tourist Agency · 22/06/2021

Manresa was selected from among more than eighty candidatures and the proposals presented awoke the interest of the assistants. 

Manresa Tourism presented its tourist attractions last week as a destiny for the Ignatian Trail in front of the representatives of twelve International Tourist Promotion Centres (TPC) and the marketing and new products work groups of the Catalan Tourist Agency (CTA). The proposal of the city was selected from among more than eighty candidatures, from which thirty are going to present a project. 

The twelve TPC are in North America, South America, United Kingdom and Ireland, Nordic countries, Benelux, Central Europe, France, Spain and Portugal, Italia and Israel, Russia and Eastern countries, China and, finally, Asia and Pacific; all them are in charge of spreading and promoting the Catalan tourist attractions in these territories. 

Manresa Tourism presented the whole touristic products of the city as an Ignatian Path destiny, like the guided walks of the last stage from Montserrat to Manresa in daytime and nighttime; or the package tour with Montserrat, the wine gastronomical proposals like the one in Oller del Mas, the oil touristic offer, the guided tours through the Ignatian Manresa, the Ignatious trail on BTT and other novelties which will be presented soon, as for instance conscious walks or wellness tourism. 

Proposals adapted to different segments of tourist demand, but which share the essence and values of Manresa 2022 such as transformation, hospitality or curiosity. In addition,  these products have the participation of different tourist agents of the private sector and are part of tourist marks like “Landscapes of Barcelona" and "Cities and Villas with Character” and of international seals like the UNESCO World Geopark of the Central Catalonia ”.

The presentation was very well received and awakened the interest of the attendees, especially regarding the program of events for Manresa 2022 and the Ignatian Way. So much so, So much so, that this week requests for information have already been received from the Italian, English and Irish markets with the desire to act as a speaker for Manresa's proposals through their networks and media.

This action is framed in the therth strategic aim of the Tourism Marketing Plan of Marketing and Promotion  that discusses active participation in proposals and initiatives from other tourism institutions such as the Catalan Tourism Agency, Barcelona Provincial Council or others.
