Azpeitia - Manresa

The town councils of Manresa and Azpeitia, the first and last cities of the Ignatian Way, met in April 2018 in Luceni (a town that is also part of the Ignatian Way) in a technical meeting to discuss Manresa2022 project.

Both councils shared the different actions that are carrying out in the cities around the Ignatian Way. There was talk of organizing possible tourist packages and sports activities, as well as the focus of the Sounds of the Way music cycle. The EDEN award recently received by the city of Azpeitia and the possible actions during the next years 2021-2022- when it will be 500 years since the arrival of Ignasi de Loiola in the capital of Bages- were also highlighted. 

They also discussed the Gastronomic Days of the Ignatian Way. This Gastronomic experience would take place in Azpeitia and Manresa.  A representative show of the gastronomy of the territories of the Ignatian Way; show cookings,  wine and cider tastings and guided tours, among other activities.
