The Convent of Saint Clare
This is a medieval convent which was occupied
by a community of Poor Clare Sisters. It was a
place which Ignatius would pass by on his way
to Viladordis. According to tradition, he would sit
on the stone steps of the Romanesque entrance
to listen to the nuns sing. Cloistered Dominican
nuns lived there from the seventeenth century.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, the
Manresan architect Alexandre Soler i March
designed a new structure for the western
façade in a modernist style.
