Ignatian Way Basketball Tournament
Manresa City Council and the delegation of the Catalan Basketball Federation in the Central Counties, together with the city's basketball clubs (CB Manresa 2015, AE La Salle Manresa, Bàsquet Joviat and Bàsquet Oms) and with the support of the 'Obra Social la Caixa, in April 2019 organized the 1st edition of the Camí Ignasià Basketball Tournament.
In the Manresa 2022 program, sport is called to play an important role, especially basketball, which is a symbol of Manresa’s identity and which is possible thanks to the involvement of the city’s teams.
The Camí Ignasià Basketball Tournament was on the 13 and 14 April 2019 and included; 3x3 played in the Porxada and Sant Domènec squares, and the traditional 5x5 on the court for Premini teams.
3x3 categories:
- Infantil (Players born after 2006 - 2007)
- Cadets (Players born after 2004 - 2005)
- Juniors (Players born after 2022 - 2003)
- Seniors (Players born on 2001 or before)
Both male and female teams.
3 × 3 FIBA regulations were applied.
Each category had a winning team.
The first edition took place in 2019. Due to COVID19 2020 edition was cancelled.
Work is underway to organize the 2nd edition in 2021.
